The irony is it was a meet up for a group founded upon the tenets of living somewhat frugally. Ah well, a chance to see how the other half lives. The apartment building was a rather uninspired relic of the architectural periods where utilitarian design superseded aesthetics (I'm looking at you 1970s) that stuck out like a sore thumb among the regal townhomes that lined the street. Perhaps that's where the frugality came into play?
